Important information for parents

On Thursday, February 3, there will be an important informational meeting for all Beverly High School parents and guardians regarding Beverly High School's 1 to 1 laptop program which will begin in September, 2011. This 1 to 1 laptop meeting will begin at 6:00 pm in the BHS auditorium before the second semester Open House program which will proceed immediately after the meeting.

Upon the conclusion of our informational meeting, all parents/guardians will receive their son or daughter's abbreviated second semester schedule and have the opportunity to meet their teachers.

Jr. ROTC Community Service

Twenty five Jr. ROTC students visited Ayers and Hannah Elementary School on December 22 to work with second graders to make holiday cards and write letters to service members.

Junior Parent College Information Session

The Annual Junior Parent College Information Session will be held on Thursday February 3 from 4:30 to 5:30 pm in the Beverly High School Auditorium. This event will take place right before Beverly High School's "Second Semester Open House"planned from 6 to 8 pm. that evening. At the Information Session, the Guidance Department will provide parents with some insight into the
college admissions process. Some of the topics to be covered will include establishing timelines, how to choose a college, the SAT's and ACT's, the application process and how to use Naviance amd much more. This session should help to ease any trepidation about the college admissions experience!

Rotary International Scholars

Two Beverly High School students have been selected as Rotary
International Scholars for next year. Seniors, Mirabella Pulido will be
spending next year in Poland, and Rachel Stigers will be in Ecuador for
the year. Congratulations to both students!

Bargains for a Cause

Boots, Straps and More: Bargains for a Cause seeks prom dresses and accessories for its second-annual prom sales event to be held in March, 2011. Bring your new or gently-used dresses and accessories (including shoes, purses, wraps and jewelry) to 198 Rantoul St. in Beverly. All donations are tax deductible.
